Design Committee: Play a key role in shaping the physical image of Main Street as a place attractive to shoppers, investors, businesses, and visitors.
Currently, the Design Committee helped in establishing a parking ordinance for the downtown. And,
the Memorial Tree, Shrub and Bench program is also an important program for the committee.

Business Revitalization Committee: Identify new market opportunities for the traditional consumer district, find new uses for historic commercial buildings, and stimulate investment in property. Strengthen existing businesses and recruit new ones.
Pride's Business Revitalization Committee is still working hard on their business recruitment plan. Currently, we have completed our professional recruitment brochure, with the expert design help from Roger Goode, and we have also completed the details for the recruitment presentation to be held in spring. At this time, we are focusing much attention on creating a comprehensive list of potential business we will target to encourage expansion to Hillsborough's downtown. We have gathered and analyzed information from the various surveys and proposals that were gathered from the community over the past few years, considered suggestions from the state's economic development office, along with spending many committee hours brain-storming ideas. We wish to make sure that each person in the community has a chance to voice their opinion about what specific businesses you believe would thrive in our downtown. Please feel free to send us your thoughts and ideas to director@hillsboroughpride.org We look forward to hearing from you. As always, we are interested in having new members with new ideas join our committee. Feel free to contact us if you are interested in helping us improve the downtown business environment of our town.
The committee meets the third Monday of the month at the Pride office at 5 pm. Feel free to join us!
